About Us
Meet the team:
Dr. Colin Nicholas
Born and raised 10 minutes from downtown in Calgary, Colin is happy to
live in Delburne since March 2021. He wanted to be a vet since as long as
he can remember and initially wanted to work in a mixed practice with an
emphasis on cattle. He graduated from the University of Calgary in 2018.
With an opening at Maverick in 2018 he jumped on it
to get his cattle fix in! Now he sees the need in Central Alberta, so he’s
returning to the original plan where all species are welcome. You will
sometimes see him locuming at Sedgewick, Saskatchewan, or
who knows where next. You will also see him walking the dogs and
carrying Violet around the neighbourhood.
Brie-Anne Nicholas
Brie was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House. She grew up with
multiple cats and is looking forward to the day that Nomad has a physical
location to house an orange clinic cat. After high school Brie "obtained
her medical office assistant certificate and then went back to school for her social work diploma and degree.
She worked for years with children and families in
the Red Deer area before becoming a full time mother to Violet. You will
find her at various mom groups or working on her gardens.
Violet Nicholas
Violet came two weeks early and has been full of energy since the first week.
She currently spends her time trying to stand,
falling, and bumping her head, chasing the dogs around, and climbing
stairs to get into trouble. Eventually Dr. Colin Nicholas hopes to take her on calls
since an extra set of hands is always useful.
